  • Document Intelligence: Imported files are parsed, chunked, and stored locally for private retrieval
  • Voice Transcription: Microphone recordings are transcribed locally with WhisperKit when you choose to use voice input

Third-Party Services

Mawj integrates with Apple's ecosystem for:

  • Subscription Management: Payment processing through Apple App Store
  • Model Downloads: User-initiated model downloads from external model hosts such as Hugging Face
  • Notifications: iOS Local Notifications system
  • Background Tasks: iOS Background Tasks framework for model downloads

These integrations do not involve sharing your personal data with third parties beyond what is required for the specific functionality you initiate.

Data Storage and Security

All data processed by Mawj remains on your device:

  • Conversations are stored in SwiftData containers on your device
  • Downloaded AI models are stored locally
  • No data is transmitted to external servers for processing
  • Your data is protected by your device's built-in security measures
